Voter Registration Deadline:

The last day to register to vote for each election is as follows:

August 2010 Primary Election - Tuesday, July 6, 2010,
November 2010 General Election – Monday, October 4, 2010

Absent Voter Ballots:

  • Voters can apply and receive an absent voter ballot if they meet one or more of the following reasons:
  • Voter is 60 years of age or older
  • Voter is physically unable to attend the polls with assistance from another
  • Voter is an appointed Precinct Worker in a precinct other than where they reside
  • Voter expects to be absent from the community in which they are registered for the entire time the polls are open on Election Day
  • Voter cannot attend the polls due to the tenets of their religion
  • Voter cannot attend the polls as they are confined to jail awaiting arraignment or trial

Absent voter ballot applications (covering both August and November Elections) are now available either at the Clerk’s Office or downloaded here.

The last day to request an Absent Voter Ballot to be mailed is:

August 2010 Primary Election - Saturday, July 31, 2010, 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM
November 2010 General Election – Saturday, October 30, 2010, 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Permanent Absent Voter List – The City of Farmington maintains a Permanent Absent Voter List for registered voters, age 60 and over, who elect to automatically receive an application for an Absent Voter Ballot prior to each election.

If you would like to be placed on this mailing list please download the response card.

Even if you choose to put your name on the list, you still have the option to vote at the polls by not returning the AV Ballot application.
