Farmington City road project slated for local streets
The following streets are scheduled for mill and overlay – resurfacing – work tentatively beginning Thursday, May 26, weather permitting: Cloverdale Street from Farmington toward Warner; Warner and Hayden streets from Cloverdale to Slocum; Prospect Street from Shiawassee to Valley View; and Heritage Lane from Drake Road to Heritage Condominium Community Building.
During the construction process, some curbs and gutters will be removed and replaced, the asphalt will be milled and overlayed, and sidewalks ramps will be removed and replaced in designated areas. Road closures may occur during the project, but with the intention to perform the road maintenance work in a manner that is minimal to traffic interruption. Residents will be notified 24 hours in advance if a closure of their driveway is required.
It is expected that it will take about 6 weeks, weather permitting, to complete the project.
Project officials ask that children and pets be kept away from the construction operation. Construction activities, and the associated equipment that goes with it, is attractive to small children and can be dangerous. Please keep children away from the equipment, wet concrete, and hot asphalt.
Updated information will be handed out and attached to the front doors of those affected as necessary.
