Kate Knight named Assistant to the City Manager/Farmington Downtown Development Authority Executive Director
Farmington City Manager David Murphy, along with the Farmington Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors has named Kate Knight as the next Assistant to the City Manager/DDA Executive Director. She will be resuming the role left by Annette Knowles who left to pursue another opportunity.
"I am thrilled to help lead Downtown Farmington's ongoing vibrancy and success as a proud Main Street community,” said Knight. “It's a great time to come visit us and see what's happening."
Knight will begin her new post in mid-July. She is no stranger to working with a DDA, she has extensive experience with the City of Northville Downtown Development Authority working as its planning coordinator. In that capacity, she coordinated improvement projects, and focused on business recruitment and retention. She most recently worked at Cog-Studio, a full-service design firm in Detroit, leading and managing design and community development projects.
