Public hearing slated for Farmington housing development
The Farmington Planning Commission will hold a public hearing concerning the planned unit development proposal to construct 14 single-family homes on the former Old 47th District Court site, 32795 Ten Mile Road in the City of Farmington. The public hearing is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. in Farmington City Hall.
On Oct. 2, Farmington City Council approved a $250,000 offer from Boji Development Incorporated to purchase the property. The purchase price assumes that the developer will be responsible for the demolition of the existing structures on the property.
“We are excited to have this development coming to the city,” said City Manager David Murphy. “This property has been vacant for about 14 years. It’ll be nice to have it bring more families to our community and school district.”
