Farmington/Farmington Hills Multicultural Multiracial Community Council presents its 12th Annual Heritage Week, October 16-22, 2011 "Tour the World in Your Hometown"

On October 16 - 22, 2010, the Farmington/Farmington Hills Multicultural Multiracial Community Council (MCMR) will host the community's 12th annual Heritage Week.  The goal of Heritage Week is to unite the community by exploring all backgrounds - from historical inhabitants to the current residents who comprise the many cultures which are the fabric of Farmington and Farmington Hills. In a world too frequently divided by our differences, it is also the continuous goal of MCMR to highlight the commonalities of all residents. Please join MCMR October 16 - 22 to share your background and learn about those of others.

International Coffee House

Sponsored by Mentobe Coffee House located In downtown Farmington. International coffee, tea and sweets available to purchase. Rosie Chapman aka Miz Rosie The Storyteller brings an Interactive storytelling performance alive with stories accompanied by African Instruments. Participate in a lively fun-filled evening for all ages. The East Middle School Choir and the Harrison Dance Troupe will also be performing.

Entertainment at the luncheon will be provided by Brandon Grant. a senior honor student at North Farmington High School. Brandon Is the leader of a Jazz Trio which has won numerous awards In the music field. They recently performed In the Detroit International Jazz Festival and recorded a Jazz single CD.
