Important Election Information

PERMANENT BALLOT REQUESTS
Any registered voter can now request to automatically receive a ballot for every election. To join the list, fill out an Absent Voter Ballot Application—located at farmgov.com/elections; mi.gov/vote; or at the City Clerk’s office—and check the box that says “Automatically send me an absent voter ballot for each future election for which I’m eligible.” Voters on the Permanent Application List will have the chance to check this box when they receive their applications in the mail.

Things to note:

  • Ballots do not get forwarded. This list may not be appropriate for college students whose locations change between elections and for voters who travel frequently.
  • Voters on this list should provide contact information that the Clerk’s Office uses only  in the instance of an issue (signature errors, ballots returned by Postal Service, etc.).
  • Voters should expect to inform the Clerk’s Office of any temporary address changes as soon as possible to ensure minimal delays in the ballot destination.
