For voters who previously requested to be on the City’s permanent absent voter ballot application list, applications to obtain a ballot for the November 7, 2023 General Election should be in mailboxes by the end of August.
Following the passage of Proposal 2 in 2022, the State of Michigan is providing pre-paid postage to return absent voter ballot applications and absent voter ballots. Stamps are no longer needed.
Proposal 2 also allows for voters to be placed on a permanent ballot list. Voters who request to be placed on this list will no longer need to apply for an absent voter ballot prior to each election. A ballot will automatically be mailed to the voters’ registered address or an alternate address if provided to the City Clerk’s Office.
To be placed on the permanent ballot list, check the box on the absent voter ballot application, sign and return to the City Clerk’s Office.
Voters may return their application by mail with pre-paid postage, the drive-up ballot drop boxes on either side of City Hall, email to
farmingtonclerk@farmgov.com or submit in-person to the City Clerk’s Office located inside City Hall at 23600 Liberty St.
