Public Safety to offer Stop the Bleed and CPR classes to the community
Farmington Public Safety is offering a Stop the Bleed class on Thursday, Feb, 13 at 6:30 p.m. A CPR class is slated for April 9 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Both at Farmington City Hall.
Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign that encourages bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Participants will receive training in applying wound pressure and using tourniquets.
CPR will be held on Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. and will feature AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training. This course will focus on high quality CPR for adults, children, infants and the use of an AED. Class is intended for anyone who needs a CPR card. This class is limited to 12 students, those interested should register by March 2

. Classes are free of charge to Farmington residents; non-residents are $20. Classes will be at Farmington City Hall, 23600 Liberty Street, in the Council Chambers.
